About UF Health Pediatric Dentistry
UF Health Pediatric Dentistry is a dental clinic in Gainesville, Florida. It is listed at 1395 Center Drive in D1-40 In GPS use 1600, SW Archer Rd, Gainesville, FL 32610, which places it among the local businesses of Gainesville that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as medical office, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 amβ5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach UF Health Pediatric Dentistry at (352) 273-7643; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is ufhealth.org, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Its Google rating stands at 2.9 out of 5 from 41 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.

Everybody is super nice once you back but I feel like the front desk is always so short with people

Believe the reviews. I hate this because I'm a huge UF fan and supporter. Staff on the phone is terrible. No one wants to do their job and put you off until such and such date and time. You cant even schedule an appointment. Not for an emergency, not for anything. Terrible.

βοΈ Extremely Disappointing Experience β Do Not Recommend Shandβs Pediatric Dentistry has shown a complete lack of care for patient health, especially when a child is clearly in pain. Instead of treating the situation with urgency or compassion, concerns were brushed off and handled with indifference. No parent should ever feel like their childβs pain is being minimized or ignored β but thatβs exactly what happened here. The front desk customer service is unacceptable. The staff was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, making an already stressful situation even worse. Even more concerning, the way they spoke β in front of both the patient and parent β was completely inappropriate and lacked basic respect. Whatβs even worse is that management showed no concern at all for this behavior. Rather than addressing how the front desk acted or how they spoke, management seemed indifferent and unwilling to take accountability. This sends a clear message that poor treatment of patients and parents is tolerated. A pediatric dental office should prioritize compassion, professionalism, and a safe, respectful environment for children. Unfortunately, Shandβs Pediatric Dentistry fails on all of

Awful place. My daughter needs emergency surgery. Her Doctor sent the information and photos over, she is 6 years old, in pain and also autistic, so medication is a very limited option. And it is an emergency, yet front staff, SCHEDULING staff, has decided they dont find it an emergency, and offered to schedule her September 2027, yup almost 2 years out. If anyone reading this is a lawyer, id love to speak to you. This is the second time they have denied my child an emergency, and yes I have DOCTOR papers to prove its a medical emergency they are denying treatment, we have insurance also. Absolutely disgusting.

I cannot thank Dr. Sorsok, Dr. Maddox, and Dr. Langford enough for the exceptional care they provided to my daughter. They relieved her pain and made sure she never felt scared throughout the process. Dr. Sorsok has a truly remarkable heart and a calming presence that made us feel completely safe and supported. We are so grateful to the entire UF team for such compassionate, outstanding care.
